Volunteers are essential to the success of The Event, and SCAA Instructors are one of the most crucial categories of volunteers. All Instructors have earned the SCAA Lead Instructor Credential through SCAA's Instructor Development Program (IDP) and are experts in their field within the various aspects of the specialty coffee supply chain. The SCAA IDP prepares instructors with skills in applied theories of adult learning, instructional design, and classroom management, ensuring that SCAA classes are an environment of credible, student-centered, practical learning. Students will be encouraged to explore and learn knowledge and skills most valuable to taking back to their individual business.
