On the tour of the Kent Flexible Plant, you will be guided through Starbucks 315k sq. ft. facility that through innovation and process optimization produces the highest quality coffee, tea and soluble products (like our VIA Ready Brew) in the world.
In addition to being a large retail employer, Starbucks is also an important contributor to the U.S. manufacturing sector. Today, they employ more than 800 people at four large, specialty coffee roasting plants across the U.S. including Washington State, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Nevada, with a fifth plant opening in Georgia. Last year, these plants blended, roasted, packaged and shipped nearly 300 million pounds of coffee.
People and product safety and quality are very important to everyone at Starbucks. Those that register to participate in the tour, are asked to bring signed copies (all 8 pages) of the required Starbucks KFP Visitor Paperwork. Please click here to download.
